Our Dental Services
General Dental Care
Every individual tooth has its own shape and set of grooves and ridges. Plaque can easily build up in these areas, and sometimes brushing and flossing aren’t always enough. Removing this plaque as soon as possible can prevent tooth decay and reduce the need for extractions, dental implants, root canals, and fillings. That’s why it’s essential to visit the dentist for a professional cleaning every six months.
At Lakes Area Dental, we’ll do more than provide a thorough cleaning of your teeth. We’ll equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to adapt a better oral hygiene regimen. Our team will show you how to brush and care for your unique smile. With our state-of-the-art equipment, we can also diagnose issues faster and provide necessary restorative treatment – all in one facility and no referrals necessary!
Dental Implants, Same-Day Crowns, & Laser Treatment
We’re the leading providers of dental implants, laser dental treatment, and same-day crowns in Willmar, MN. Dr. Scott Martinka is a certified CEREC® CAD/CAM specialist and clinical instructor. Dr. Martinka has completed advanced training in 3D digital cone beam tomography, and our staff is well-trained on how to treat patients using these types of equipment.
Cone Beam CT Dental Implants
Cone beam CT technology also allows us to accurately diagnose:
- Tooth pain
- Endodontic (pulp & soft tissue) pain & infection
- Periodontitis (severe gum disease)
CEREC Same-Day Crowns
Once a crown is in place, patients can enjoy the look and feel of a fully restored tooth. No messy impressions! No uncomfortable temporary crowns! In most cases, our patients can complete the entire procedure in one hour.
Laser Fillings & Treatment
We use the Waterlase iPlus® laser to treat mild to moderate cavities. After removing areas of decay with the Waterlase iPlus laser, we fill cavities with tooth-colored composite fillings – no anesthetic shots necessary!
We use diode lasers for many of our restorative and soft tissue procedures. We can also use them to treat cold sores, mouth ulcers, and canker sores.
